Once again, we both slept pretty well. Watched the sunrise from our comfy bed in the van. Up, packed and on the road at 8.

Drive was similar to yesterday. Lots of scrub along a 2-lane road. Definitely more scenery though - mountains and the Humboldt Forest

Got to the Zion around 5. Stopped in Springdale, just outside the park entrance, to stock up on ice and grab a couple essentials. The car said it was 106. The thermometer outside the general store said otherwise. Either way, it was hot.

Checked in at the park entrance and arrived at our spot in the beautiful South Campground. Quickly set up camp, then stopped to enjoy the view with a cocktail (we're roughing it, but still have our standards!). I went for short bike ride to scout where we have to catch a shuttle tomorrow (at 7am) and to check out the area around our campsite. Karri prepared a delicious dinner of chicken, potatoes and salad.
I have some great pictures of dinner and the views near our site but the weak cell signal is preventing me from uploading them (I'm writing these posts from my phone).- Hopefully tomorrow.
Regardless, it's gorgeous here. Can't wait to explore more of the park!
