Happy Birthday Victoria

Our little girl turned 11 today!

We returned from San Diego on Wednesday evening (I'll do a separate post on the rest of our trip). The kids are still on Spring Break and Karri took the rest of the week off from work (mostly), so we were all home this morning for 'The Princess' to open her presents.
Presents!
Figuring out her surprise...
... a(nother) trip to San Diego. "YES!"
Her big surprise was a trip to San Diego next week. Long story short... her cousin Rachel, who lives in Boston, is going to be on Spring Break in a week (her sister, Lindsay, and brother, Ian, have different breaks and so will be in school). Rachel will be spending most of the week with Mimi & Pop-Pop in San Diego. The cousins rarely get to see each other, so we decided to let Victoria miss a couple days of school to fly down and join the fun. She's flown with just her brothers - and once with just Matthew - before. This will be her first 'solo' trip. She's very excited.

After presents, Victoria embarked on an afternoon shopping excursion with Karri. Thomas and Matthew spent the day hanging out with friends while I worked. Then we drove downtown to meet up with the girls at Red Robin (Victoria's choice) for a birthday dinner. Tim and Eang joined us too. It was lot's of fun. Victoria had a ball.

Happy birthday to our beautiful little girl. Victoria is full of life. She's thoughtful and caring. She's a great little sister (at least as long as her brothers do what she tells them to do). Her smile can light up a room and she's got an infectious giggle to go with it.
