Karri and I arrived safe-and-sound in Puerto Vallarta yesterday. Our flight was smooth. The Immigration line at the PV airport was the longest we've ever seen, but fortunately, it moved quickly and we were through in a little over half an hour.
We caught a taxi to the grocery store, loaded up on staples for the week, then caught another taxi to the condo. Easy. It was overcast when we arrived, but so nice to be in shorts, t-shirts and sandals. Happy hour on the patio followed by a delicious dinner with chicken tacos, homemade salsa (mmm.) and fresh bean salad Karri mixed up with chopped vegetables. We were both exhausted and were in bed before 10 (8pm Seattle time).
We woke today to sunshine and quickly took advantage, sitting poolside, reading our books. But the clouds rolled in again and we eventually moved inside, enjoying the afternoon reading on the hammocks and relaxing. Very much needed (and enjoyed!) by both of us.

While in the kitchen squeezing limes for our happy hour margaritas, I happened to look up and see see a whale breaching about 100yds from shore - directly in front of the condo. It was amazing! We quickly grabbed cameras and ran to the patio. He breached one more time (neither of us caught it on camera) and then surfaced several times as he worked his way down the coast. Not a bad source of happy hour entertainment.

Steak tacos on the menu tonight. We both love fresh Mexican food!
