Victoria's basketball season came to an end last weekend (a tie... after 1 overtime period). It was a fun season. She really improved and was gaining confidence with each game. She's really been focused on her dribbling - practicing in the garage after school. It has paid off, as she played point guard in the last few games. Here are a few shots from her next-to-last game...

Matthew's team lost their regular season finale, but their record qualified them for the playoffs - which start this weekend. Last year they made it all the way to the city championship game. Here's hoping they can do it again. (Sorry - no pics)
Thomas' last game was tonight. They played in a 4-team, end-of-season tournament against 3 of the tougher teams in the Metro Conference - Lakeside, Blanchet and O'Dea. They beat Lakeside handily on Monday. On Tuesday they avenged an early season loss to Blanchet with an 11-point win in probably their best game of the season. O'Dea won their first 2 games also, setting up the championship game tonight between Prep and O'Dea. It was a GREAT game - a battle from start to finish. But Prep ended up losing by 5. It was a tough way to end a great season.
[The games were too exciting to try to take any pictures! One of the other dad's took a bunch. Hopefully he'll share them with us. If so, I'll post a few here.]
In other news... We've been battling illness for the last few weeks. It started with Matthew having a mild cold, then Thomas got a sinus infection, then I got a horrible cold that's been with me for 2 weeks, and now Karri has it. She was home from work today - which is a rare occurrence. Hoping she recovers quickly.
Otherwise, all is well.
